Lord Bichard recruited to advise Ten Group on roll out of ground-breaking public sector support services

Government efficiency champion, Lord Bichard, has joined Ten Group as an advisor in its bid to roll out ground-breaking support services within the public sector.
Lord Bichard is a Senior Fellow of the Institute for Government and pioneer of Total Place, a silo-busting initiative for local government.
He will be working with Ten Group’s Fergal Roche, initially on developing a service for Children’s Services professionals. The new service will closely mirror The Key, a support service for school leaders run by Ten.
The Key has been in operation for three years and currently has nearly 6,000 members. It offers efficiencies by helping to share expert information and guidance between school leaders all over the country and reducing duplication of effort.
Lord Bichard said: “I am delighted to be working with Ten and The Key, which have a big contribution to make in helping the public sector deliver better services at less cost. I am also keen to help develop the business model in ways which will support the objectives of the Big Society.”
Fergal Roche, Managing Director of Professional Support Services, said: “we are very happy to welcome Lord Bichard to Ten. His insight into the sector will be invaluable to us.
“There is clearly a need for a new model of service delivery which is significantly cheaper and more efficient than what is currently in place. Ten Group can offer a viable alternative which is already proven through our work on The Key over the last three years.”
